  1. When will there be a 1.01 for iPhones? My 1.0 version is very sluggish and crashing a lot. I’ve given up trying to play it and sent you a crash report… I like we’re you’re headed as a GL Golf user since one of the first releases, but I’d like it to work consistently 🙂

    1. Hopefully later this month, I’m on vacation until next Wednesday and as soon as I get home I’m working on it. Be aware though that most of the updates in 1.01 on the Mac were already included in 1.00 on the iPhone. I did get your crash report, thanks!

      1. Thanks – and enjoy your vacation :). I deleted and reinstalled it and it worked until I changed the preferences to turn all of them off. It went right back to stuttering and freezing. I’ll try again with the delete the program and reload and not change preferences.

  2. I liked the first version better…… Hole 3 has grass all over it and a lot
of blochy stuff everywhere in some of the fairways…….any fix for that?

    1. Try switching the Terrain quality to Medium, High, or Very High, that should fix it for now and we’re working on a fix for 1.02 for lower qualities

  3. Game keeps crashing once the loading screen reaches 82%. The music abruptly stops just prior to this.
    Please fix it.

    Jim

  4. I notice that the power bar for the putter occasionally (and you don’t know when) has no relationship to the putt length in version 1.01. For example sometimes the s-putter is offered, and it seems to make sense with the distance and slope, but you have to use the x-putter at full strength to reach the hole. Another time the s-putter is offered for a short (1.1 yard) putt and the power bar only goes to 2, but if you hit the put at more than 0.5 yards, the putt hits the hole extremely fast and hops out. Any advice on when this will happen, or how to tell when to ignore the proffered putter?

    1. Try increasing the Terrain setting as high as you can, this will definitely help out near the edge of the greens until 1.02 can be released

    2. During the 3rd round of the Nova Desert Pro Tour Open I had a similar experience on hole #15. I hit my first putt the suggested distance to the hole and it shot completely off the green. I used a mulligan and hit my next putt approximately 50% of what was suggested. The putt went a short distance past the cup. On my return putt I also used ~50% and that seemed to be the correct speed. The slope of the green was minimal for both putts. I don’t remember the conditions for that round, but perhaps Jake could duplicate them and check it out.

  5. In version 1.00 a blue dot on the green showed the location of the pin on the small map. In version 1.01 this dot is not there. Are there plans to bring it back?

  6. I’m having some problems using Profiles. My first Profile had all Nova equipment and had completed all of the tournaments. That Profile had accumulated 3,774 credits with seemingly nothing left to purchase except golf balls. It had also collected an Experience of 1,890, but all of the categories in Career Mode are already at 50/50.

With seemingly nothing more to accomplish, I created a 2nd profile to start over, and selected practice. The screen that allows you to select which clubs you want to carry shows all Nova equipment for the 2nd profile. When I hit Start a message reminds me that I have unspent credits and asks if I want to go to the Pro Shop to upgrade my equipment. When I answer Yes I’m in the Pro Shop with all of the credits from my 1st Profile. I can’t buy any equipment, because it is showing all of the equipment is already purchased. If I answer No and continue to the course, the 2nd profile has all Generic equipment. It’s a Catch 22. It reminds me that I have inferior equipment, but I’m unable to buy anything better. I can’t find a way to upgrade the equipment for the 2nd Profile.

The Achievements are correct for each Profile, as are the Power, Accuracy, Putting, Recovery, and Spin settings in Career Mode. I believe that the Scores are from all Profiles, but it’s hard to tell since they are not dated. There are far too many scores for my 2nd Profile. And I can’t find a way to get separate scores for each Profile.

Are there plans to completely separate each Profile? To add additional Courses and/or Tournaments?

    1. The equipment is shared between all users, you can temporarily downgrade the club by clicking “Nova” in the pre-game menu if you desire though.

Good catch on having no equipment left to upgrade, I’ll remove that warning.

The scores are not dated and do not have a profile attached, I would like to add that for this or the next patch. Eventually Gamecenter will be used for best rounds so you can compete against other players scores online.

Definitely more courses coming eventually, and possibly more tournaments

      1. I have 2 Profiles. Profile 1 has 50/50 for all skills and has completed all tournaments. Profile 2 has just started competition. Profile 2 was playing in the first tournament when I had to save the game and quit Nova Golf. When I Resumed play, Profile 1 was the name of the player on the screen along with all of his skills (power, accuracy,etc.). I finished play and all of the experience and the tournament score was credited to Profile 2.

I thought maybe it was a glitch, so I started a practice round with Profile 2. Saved the game and quit. When I resumed play the same thing happened. It said I was Profile 1 and let me play with his skills. When I was done all of the experience had been credited to Profile 2.

It was like having the class nerd take my SATs using my ID.
