Here is a current screenshot of Disc Golf 3D. All that’s left is to finish up some holes and complete the two courses, replace a few placeholder graphics, change the golf swing to the disc throw animation, and do some testing! We’re on the home stretch now, we’re still on target for at 2012 submission.
We’re making good progress on Disc Golf 3D after a long programming hiatus this fall. We think we can submit it to Apple by the end of the year, if not than early 2013. Check back for updates!
GL Golf has been updated to version 2.391 on the iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, and is now live on the iTunes App Store. Please allow up to a day for the update to become available as it is still propagating through Apple’s system. Check the Product Page for more information

Yesterday I was testing Nova Golf with a friend, who had only ever played a few rounds of Nova Golf in his life, and he hit a double eagle on the second par 5 on Nova Links! I couldn’t believe it, after thousands of holes I haven’t sunk a shot from further than 50 yards away, let alone 200+! The round ended -10 to -8, a close one in which there was both a quad bogey and double eagle on the same round!
It’s amazing how fast our app count adds up. Between 9 games and 2 apps with paid/free versions on both iOS/Mac, we have 41 different unique apps! Today we put the finishing touches on our holiday updates, and finalized all 41 updates. We’re doing extra testing on them this week to make sure we didn’t miss anything, then we’re sending them off to Apple for approval. Ideally we’d like to release some of them around Thanksgiving and some around Christmas. GL Golf 2.39 was already released this month, so that takes care of 5 out of 41.
Nova Golf definitely gets the biggest share of upgrades here, featuring a brand new 18 hole course for in-app purchase. Now that we’ve gotten everything caught up with Apple’s latest technology we can focus on some new projects. First up is finishing our Disc Golf game, which has been delayed due a non-business life even. After that who knows, but expect to start seeing more games from Nuclear Nova Software again!
We’ve finally finished the fourth course for Nova Golf. Below is the first practice round score card. Expect these scores from the white tees to drop as we remove a few unfair areas (I swear I didn’t deserve those bogies), some of the greens are brutal at the moment! It usually takes about six or so practice rounds with various tees and pins to fine tune a course, so we should be able to submit to Apple by the end of the week, where we will have a painfully slow wait to approval.

It’s been far too long since we released Nova Golf, but we’re working on a new course for Nova Golf. This one should be similar to the last three, it will have its own look/feel and fit right in with the other three courses. Check out the preview below, this is a screenshot of Photoshop half way through the course making process.
Early next year we want to take advantage of the massive number of GL Golf courses. We’re working on a converter app that takes a GL Golf course and preps it as a Nova Golf course. Each hole will then be individually modernized with more detail. If this goes as planned expect to see many more Nova Golf courses!
Nova Golf has been updated to version 1.04 on iOS and is now live on the iTunes App Store. The Mac and Lite versions are still waiting for review by Apple but should follow shortly, keep checking the Mac and iTunes app stores over the next week. See the Product Page for more information

We’re looking to add more customizations to our Nova Golf players. Anyone golfer with artistic talent who wants to submit skins for a future update can do so by emailing support@nuclearnova.com. No promises on what we will/won’t include, but even if we don’t use your images you can use them yourself on the Mac by replacing the files in the Nova Golf.app/Contents/Resources/ folder. Simply right click your Nova Golf.app file and click the Show Package Contents button to navigate to the inner workings of the game.
