More replay feature suggestions (low priority!)
It would be really great to be able to save replays! Pure vanity? Maybe, but would also help us to help you in diagnosing the tougher bugs. Niggle (this _is_ pure vanity): On hole 18, if I hole out from distance, I can't see a replay of my brilliance/luck because the scorecard pops up immediately. C...

Some 2.08 bugs
St Andrews Jubilee Hole 8 - took a mulligan to return to lie at edge of green, flag reappeared. Thought this was fixed in previous version? Sometimes on putting, the ball appears to pass over the hole, but still goes in. On replay, the optical effect of the ball "over-running" doesn't happen. You do...

More floating grass: Winding Meadows Hole 1, right behind the green. St Andrews Jubilee - all holes, every yardage marker is white (but correct on mini-map) St Andrews Jubilee Hole 14 - no yardage markers at all! Think I have spotted this elsewhere but forgotten which courses. Isle West Hole 2 - Yar...

I understand this feature request, because sometimes I play a bad shot, decide not to take a mulligan but then my next shot gets me in worse trouble! However, I can see why it would be hard to do - at present you allow highscores to stand with one mulligan used. This feature, if implemented, would e...

Hi Jake, good tip about taking short shots with a low iron rather than a wedge. I'm glad to hear it's not just me who finds that hole impossible to hit green in regulation (ie. leaving two putts for par). Another similar hole for me is Rocky Grove hole 7 - the green is just too small to land on and ...

Rattlesnake Hole 1
This thread has been open a long time with no replies, so let me get the ball rolling. How do people play the first hole of Rattlesnake? I can't seem to get it - if I manage a birdie it's a huge chip in from distance. The best I can do is take advantage of a big wind from the left off the tee (if I'...

Hang on a moment Jake! Before you go deliberately making pro mode harder, shouldn't you sort out the highscores first? Lots of game features have made GLGolf harder (eg making the hole smaller) but this is the first change to pro mode I can think of where you propose to remove an existing aid? I'm w...

Changing tree sizes?
Hi Jake, I'm obviously in observant mood today so excuse the number of posts. Are the trees supposed to change sizes from game to game? I've only recently noticed that on some holes where I rely on firing between them or (cheeky) using a collision with one to stop the ball, on certain rounds I can't...

Appreciate your rework on the path of the ball during replay in 2.03, but I've discovered in 2.04 that there is still a random element when the ball "bounces out" of the hole (ie the path was right for the ball to go in the hole, just the speed was wrong). In this scenario, replays can cause the bal...

And another
Isle West Hole 10: the side of the island closest to the hole (by the 100-150 yard markers) extends into the water! This is very useful because you can get a good lie closer to the pin but really ought to be fixed.

Several minor hole bugs
GL Classic Hole 3: In the left rough 100 yards from pin, some floating grass. GLClassic Hole 12: In the left rough 200 yards from the pin, club buried up to handle. With extreme wind against I have even had the ball pitch in the rough 100 yards from the pin and roll back "downhill" to here! HINT: th...

2.02
By the way, Random 18 worked for me in 2.02 - so something has changed since then! Hope that helps.

2.04 feedback
I really like the new hard pitching wedge "club", but the new sand wedge has no apparent advantages over the pitching wedge... though I guess I might appreciate it stopping so quickly if pitching onto a downslope... hmm, must try that. The other new clubs I can't really find a use for either but ear...

Random holes in 2.04
Hi Jake, still problems I'm afraid - I have been unable to play random-18. I tried first at Pro level, got apparent hang at the new multicoloured golf balls screen but Apple-W took me back to the GL-Golf menu. This happened several times. I then tried at Normal level, and got a full program crash (r...

St Andrews Pro High Scores
Hi Jake, there seems to be a problem with retrieving the internet highscores on St Andrews (on Pro level) where scores 11-20 are stuck on <br> as the player name - they are recorded correctly online. Also, I've had some problems with my local highscores disappearing - not a biggie but I thought I'd ...

Replay not 100% reliable
Hi Jake, I've noticed that the replay code does not give the same result every time - I can't pin down the random element, but it's noticeable on some greens. Around 1 in 6 times, the ball finishes in a different place in the replay (usually short but sometimes to one side) and the view then jumps t...

Recent highscores
I agree this is a great idea. A lot of the low scores were only obtainable in old versions of GLGolf (I know, I'm very proud of my top score on Augusta pro and I assure you it was genuine!), especially because the ball could run a lot further on each shot (and even more so with the wind behind). Alt...
