Re: The super-low scores players are shooting.
michael, Wow! A 48 is exceptional! And, yes, it does take luck (a hole in one, or a long eagle) to shoot a 49 or a 48. In my humble opinion a 38 is impossible. Now if I had any idea how to 'hack' this game, I would post scores that were reasonable. And I would win every tournament by a shot or two. ...

Michael,
I agree, and it's not just that one course.

Re: The super-low scores players are shooting.
Jake, You might also consider deleting George_HALAS' scores from the current season from Rocky Coast, Winding Meadows, Snowflake, Torre Pines, Grand Lake, Badger Pass, & Blind Man's Bluff. And gak from Ashdown. As a matter of fact, once you are convinced that a player has cheated, I'm in favor of re...

Re: The super-low scores players are shooting.
I have to say that a 38 on Snowflake is quite a feat. Since I don't believe a double-eagle is possible on any hole, that means 14 eagles & 4 birdies. Not in the same round I have eagled holes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, & 8, plus I've birdied all of them. Unless someone shows me, I won't believe an eagle is p...

Re: The super-low scores players are shooting.
I have shot some pretty low scores and even managed to win a couple of tournaments, but my hat is off to George_HALAS , a player I've not seen until recently. Here is what he has accomplished in a period of 6 days! He beat the existing all time best scores on Winding Meadows (by 5 shots!) , Snowflak...

Snowflake Ridge's Secret (6 & 15)
If you are confident that you can nail your shots, here is a tip you may want to try. The driver is 1W (300)
6 & 15 driver, aim for 1st opening in trees left of initial conditions (see picture), use one level of punch (e1)

Rocky Coast GL Golf Tips/Strategies
Here are some strategies I use on Rocky Coast, formerly known as Pebble Beach. (s3 means 3 levels of backspin, a2 means 2 levels of draw, etc. Default means all conditions when you first step onto the tee. "0" means use the suggested club; "+1" means go up in length 1 club, etc. "+10" means you need...

Re: Specific Hole Bugs
This is not related to a specific hole. It's not really a bug either. It's also not that important. But it should be a piece of cake to fix. Your home page link to Course Averages and Popularity yields a table with a few errors. There are no data for Oakmont CC. I imagine this is very low on your pr...

Re: Specific Hole Bugs
Well, it's not specifically a bug, but I was previewing Beauregard CC for the upcoming tourney and I found out why it's going to be at Pro level. The 11th hole is a 711 yard par 4! I suspect that would be a challenge even for Mister_G, CC, & Matt, to name a few low shooters.

Re: Rocket Golf Beta
Jake, I'm sorry to say that Rocket Golf is behaving just like the first versions of GL Golf 2.24. It quits when launched. Of course my OS is 12.4, the same OS that gave GL Golf 2.24 fits.

Isle West Hole 6 when taking a mulligan
bug isle west #6.tiff During Practice, but also during play, taking a mulligan after a poor tee shot produces this error. You are placed back on the tee, but the power bar is the one for when you are in the rough, not the one when you are first on the tee. If I'm successful in doing it I will uploa...

Re: Version 2.24 won't install & corrupts version 2.23
Same comments as Walter, but program runs very well. So far only one "Curtain of Hard Shut-down." I was downloading a program at the time; maybe that contributed. I know that when I have my web-cam operating I should never play GL Golf - any version. It's a certain invitation to the Curtain. Aside f...

Re: Version 2.24 won't install & corrupts version 2.23
I'm sad to say that after playing 2 dozen (or so) times I got the Dreaded Vale of Hard Shut-down screen. For some reason I can't copy the log that I see when I run Console, so I can't send it to you, but I sent it to Apple.

Thanks, Jake .I played the Test Golf 3 times with no problem. Keep your fingers crossed.
P.S. And, yes, I'm running OS 10.4.11 with dual Motorola chips.

Re: Version 2.24 won't install & corrupts version 2.23
More fallout from attempting to install version 2.24: All of my Local History is gone. When I use a copy of 2.23 that I recovered from backup 1) my computer locks up and won't even respond to command-option-escape, forcing me to do a hard shut-down. 2) The dreaded 'black vale' falls down my display ...

Re: Version 2.24 won't install & corrupts version 2.23
My first 2 posts were regarding the downloading as described from the GL Golf application. This concerns downloading the ZIP file. The downloading proceeds normally and Version 2.24 icon appears. Attempting to launch 2.24. however, yields the same error. When I download the fullgolf.dmg file it prod...
