Beta 2.34 is up at http://nuclearnova.com/fullglgolfbeta.zip. Please post any incompatibilities, major problems, or comments on new features here. This one has been worked on with 4 versions of XCode, so there could be some unforeseen issues trying to get it to work on both 10.5 PPC and 10.7 Lion.

I'm curious. The Beta program downloads into a folder named GL Golf 2.34, just like you describe in your post. But the Finder displays the application as version 2.33, and once launched, the About GL Golf also displays 2.33. If I count the courses, Maple Ridge is 33. ???

Thanks, it is 2.34. There are 13 places I have to change the version on each time, I must have missed a few of them haha

Note - The main new feature here is the golfer model. Please report any issues or comments on it. We're not 100% done yet, we wanted to get this beta out quicker so we're posting a not totally finished version

Crashes for me on startup - I can see the main menu screen and can select a course and then it crashes just after the screen with the multiple coloured balls.

I am on Leopard.

Hum, that's not good. Are you running 2.35 successfully now? Does a crash log come up you can copy/paste?

Try now, I think I have it fixed. Apple forces me to use outdated development tools to still support PPC and 10.5, and it looks like some of the settings get messed up when switching between the new tools and old tools as the target was switched from 10.5 to 10.6

Thanks that seems to have fixed it! I haven't had chance to play the new course yet but I can now get past that initial screen.
BTW my golfer also has the achy dress sense mentioned in the 2.35 thread ...

Good, I'm glad it fixed it. Not sure about the dress, probably something specific to 10.5 (which I no longer have any test machines for)

I, too, was experiencing crashes. I wasn't eligible to play Port O'Brien yet, because I hadn't bought the new subscription package. It would only crash on Inverness Club. I didn't try them all, but I chose about 10 courses starting near the top and working my way down. Maple Ridge was OK, but Inverness crashed. Then I opened 2.35 and Inverness was OK. Then I bought the next subscription. No more crashes until...

I went through Port O'Brien in practice mode. When I got to the 15th it crashed. Once. Hasn't crashed since.

Two things may require your attention.

All 21 clubs were in my bag, even though my favorites were still correct, and the others were unchecked. I had all of the woods from 330 driver to 7. All of the irons, all of the wedges (including GW), and of course, both of the putters.

Also when I saved the game and resumed, the pin position changed.

Odd, I don't like these somewhat random crashes that have been appearing lately.

Practice mode will now give you all of the clubs to play with no matter what.

I'll look into the pin locations changing for saving/resuming.

OK pin locations changed because it was set to random. But I just finished a practice round and GL Golf crashed twice and I had to force quit twice, also. The crashes always occurred right after I clicked Play Golf), but the forced quits were while playing a hole. Resume would put me on the correct course, but I had to reset practice mode, the tees I was using, and the pin location.

Hi Jake,

First of all, the new course - Hackinow - is pretty good!
The 'new look' is pretty good too and I particularly like the new female golfer model, but how can I switch from female golfer model to male golfer model and vice versa?
If I am playing with two or more players, can I have one/two female golfers and one/two male golfers for instance?
At the moment, I find that when playing as 'voicebox' the software sometimes chooses the female golfer model - I find this more than a little disconcerting!! For instance, I don't know any female golfers called 'John!!'
Some of the text seems to be overlaid and jumbled on hole 3 of Hackinow - but more of this in depth later when I have had a proper look around the new graphics.
