Switchball

Switchball is a very original and fun! I think the only thing I would fix is the bombs, they do not appear enough and sometimes I miss them,

I LOVE THIS GAME. Very original. The graphics are pretty good. However, the sound gets irritating and when there's a plus-shaped configuration not all the pairs are counted. And the documentation could use a few pictures. Which wouldn't be too hard if he hadn't used scrolling for his help system. Multiple screens would have been better.

The main idea is original but the game isn't very exciting; the sound was used very
well, the graphics and controls response were well developed. My final score is 11.

Good creative idea... the screen you get when you open it takes a while to get by and should be able to be passed up with a click or key press. I didn't fully understand the game as it was kind of hard to scroll the rules ;-) but other than that it's a cool game.

Canvas Wars

Color Wars was also very original, and had lots of cool power-ups. Not much replay value.

Canvas Wars Beta 8: this game is very simple and funny, the graphics are poor and little
developed, the main idea is original but the CPU player is totally random and don't offer any
difficulty (to win the game, simply follow your opponent, covering its color). My Final score is
11.

Very original idea... unfortunately graphics are lacking. Menu colors and stuff are pretty cool, but the options/setup menu is too flashy (no, literally). NICE FPS! 2200 on average.

METAL Mad Race

This game would have scored higher, except that there should have been arrows on some of the intersections, and car collisions. Also, if you cut a turn to a little you would have to redo a lap.

This game should have been an example. The scrolling and double view is excellent. However, there is hardly any game to play. No high scores, no roadblocks, no powerups, and no arrows to show you which direction to go. Speed and simple friction woudn't have been so hard to implement either. Also, this game could have had much better
graphics if it had used a rotating algorithm to get the car

It's strange to talk about my own game. There are no sounds and cars don't
collides. But the controls are good, CPU player is really functional and I guess this game is very
funny ( I played it myself). So, I guess that if I have to give a score to my own work, it would

Sounds like a cool idea, unfortunately no sound to complement the gameplay. Rotation is kinda sucky, but with 256x256 image that's kinda hard to get. Physics stink. Dirt doesn't make you go much slower than the road. Better luck next time! :-\

Leuardra

This game has potential but it lacks polish and the battle system is... well boring. It bothered me how you cant walk diagonally, and there were NO instructions (i had to search the code to find out how to play). And the stamina thing got annoying after the first time.

This game has some serious promise. However, at the beginning of the contest, didn't you say no previews, just full games? Also, this game has no replay value and will not let me save without crashing. Also, the graphics shouldn't be resized like that. I would prefer the game window smaller rather than it being doubled. Oh, and the level editor is pretty cool but horrible in its own right.

An RPG is a classic game style and the graphics used well the limited tileset.
The battles along the game are a little tiring, and you don't know what to do to restore your
life. Despite of all, the game HAS a story line and is funny the possibility of look around. My
Final score is 12.

I don't like the idea of running/walking stamina... battle engine needs some work... especially when you run away ;-) Running around a random forest (not forrest JD :P) isn't too much fun either. But great effort, so a 15/20.[/SOURCECODE]

Ok, I deserve it  . A game created in 2 days (because the period of the contest coincided with my period of
tests in the college) can't be well qualified.
Almost All comments about my game indicate things that I specified initially, but I don't have time to implement all :? .

Since this game is a action game, the speed is essential (run perfectly on my G3 350MHz) and I was forced to cut some features that are too heavy in METAL (features that I now know how to implement better).

I think this game could be better, and it will be!
I am going to implement it in Cocoa using OpenGL. And will implement all features requested and more.

I continue programing in METAL because I like.

So, next time, I'll try again  .

Wow iTonio, only 2 days? Leuardra took 16. It is a preview of the full game. There was no preview before I sent it to Jake. Read my post a iDevgames.com for a complete description of what I did.
