Rather then just special topics, how about a section in this forum that covers general programming. I mean, topics like solving problems with a troublesome routine, features the compiler should include, utilities to help in the programming process, etc., regardless of what type of program or game is being developed. Call is something like "METAL Programming in General" or whatever.
I myself would like to know things like, why does METAL not have a drag-and-drop feature (something like COMMAND$ function in other basics), or, why does METAL not have what is needed to create "runtimes" where a data file could be associated to it, allowing the data file to become the application? Questions like this and more would open up a whole new area of discussion, and may attract a host of various programmers from all levels.

I would like to have my own METAL forum, but everyone is at IDG and it is better, take macboys link and click FORUMS and at the bottom there is a METAL Basic Section.

Also, METAL can make stand alone apps, in one of the menus go to Compile or hit command-M
