I love the game, but sometimes hate it too... I've set a few #1's and still hold one or two... but today I was totally SHAFTED again upon setting a new record. My score of 43 on Baker's Coast was not recorded on the internet scores... which now makes a second course that I should have a #1 score on... but it just never posted. it was a pretty sick round.. three hole-in-ones. It makes me want to stop playing if I can't post my scores. Please fix.

What version of GL Golf are you using? Did you set more than one mulligan, disable fog, or enable the slow power meter? Did you have a good internet connection? Did it log in the local best rounds, or neither or them? What was the exact name you used (so I can check my log of submitted games)

Sorry for all the questions and the round not being submitted, I can see that being very frustrating . Hopefully I can figure out why and fix it

Hi Jake... I thought I was on the most recent version since the App Store doesn't have any update notifications... but I don't have the ability to disable fog or manipulate my mulligan settings. I've never heard of these features... so apparently I'm not on the most recent version. My version doesn't have any `version` information in the Help Menu (see pic2).. so I have no clue what version this one is. It is the first I've been able to post scores with.. and the first I've seen with the Vert. Yards feature. My internet connection was five star 3G... so no worries there.

Sounds like it's because of the version descrepancy why I can't post high scores anymore. That happened on another epic round of mine before I was able to upgrade to the current version.

(I just now noticed the iPhone category on the forum elsewhere... I had no idea to look for two separate forums.)

Sorry about that, I thought you were running the Mac version (which has those options I was talking about). I moved the thread into the iPhone forum and renamed GL Golf to GL Golf Macintosh.

Are those pictures you sent me from the version that has the Vert Yards feature, or was it from the older version that didn't have Vert Yards? The older version had a hack in it that allowed people to get scores <35, so I had to setup my best round server to reject and scores submitted that aren't from the most recent version. If its from the new version I have no clue why the rounds aren't submitting because most of the other scores are coming through (as you can see).

Gotcha... yep, I don't know either. The pic's are from the most recent version... taken today when I posted that last comment. It has happened a few times on other scores... and twice on #1 scores like that. I'm experiencing several glitches, and as a Flash/PHP programmer, I can certainly relate to trying to field all the inquiries. Overall very impressive project. But, I could list a lot of things I run into that I work around from time to time.

I doubt I'll ever come close to that round again... oh well. I need to spend more time on my own programming projects rather than playing yours! I was wondering about the app being hacked. I'm pretty certain I could have done the same, but obviously only losers have to cheat. Hopefully you have a solid fix for that ... but it looks like #1 on the GL Classic couse is probably fake. Although many would prob. question my 43.

I went ahead and manually added your score since you sent me a picture, along with deleting the 35 (not sure how that one snuck in there... it's weird that just one really low score showed up). I'm glad that you can relate, being a programmer yourself, you must know how annoying those bugs are that you can't recreate!

Thanks... I'm pretty surprised that you did the manual entry. I'd be afraid it would cause others to try and photoshop their way into the top scores (if they saw this post).

Yep, debugging can be challenging for sure. There are so many variables sometimes.

I'm playing on iPhone and can't get the application to record my scores. Whenever I Hit submit the app just crashes on me. It only happens for a pack of courses I bought, not for the original courses included with the app. Any idea why that would happen? It won't even let me record them on the phone, much less the internet.

I have GL Golf for iPhone and bought a course pack but it won't let me record scores for the new courses. It works for the original courses that came with the original purchase of the app but it crashes as soon as I try to record my score at the end of a round. There is a delay and then it just crashes to the home screen. Upon going back into the app it shows that I'm still on the hole but if I try to record my score it will crash again.

Any idea why this could be happening?

Is this the newest version available, 1.11? I made a few changes that may require a re-install, you could try to remove the game from your device and then re-install it, that may fix the best round crashing problem
