NEW BUGS
I presume, Jake, that this might be construed as a report on 2.18. On several of the courses I've played there is no sound of the ball being hit (it seems to happen only on the swing off the "T"): the most recent example was Isle West, hole ten. On the same course it happened about three times befor...

Re: Torrey Pines South & technical data
Good one, Jake. :D Torrey Pines is a dandy. I've only played it once, but found the greens easy to read, although quite tricky here and there. For some reason, the whole course seems a lot easier than Beauregard (couldn't resist saying that): I can't read the greens on the latter worth diddly. As fo...

Re: TECHNICAL QUESTION
Okay, Jake, Sometimes I get a note telling me that suddenly GL Golf has quit, without causing a freeze, and I'm invited to report it. Other times neither the cursor nor the keys will cause anything to work. When this happens, I don't recall any warning; I just have to restart the computer. I'll tell...

TECHNICAL QUESTION
:?: Jako, Okay, this question is probably firmly rooted in ignorance. Your GL Golf freezes my whole system once in a while - or so it seems. This may simply be because I am "on" your golf course more than I am occupied with any other application. It is a mere annoyance, but I do have to restart the ...

Re: PLETHORA OF E-MAILS
Hello Jake, Good grief, what will the devils think of next? I've never heard of a robot - sounds like a virus that homes in only on Website operators. I know I'd sure hate to have my old e-mails sailing out to those I've sent them to in the past. It's hard to fathom the mind that can pull suc...

Il est moi encore
Dear Jake, I think I've mentioned this before, but it's been a long long time, and so I'll try again. With regard to your "replay" of shots, it would be most helpful if they began from the original position, rather than half-way through. We need to see the original "lie", or the information we are b...

Re: PLETHORA OF E-MAILS
I don't exactly comprehend the cyber lingo, but do I understand that somebody did this deliberately? I would hope not, but there are some nasty buggesr out there - I wonder if you'll hit the PC viruses when you accommodate Windows? Meanwhile I didn't know that I was a thread. I've always thought of ...

Re: NO MORE MR. NICE GUY
Jake, I knew that you wouldn't change the greens, but whereas if the chip onto the green gone wrong gives you two puts instead of one, this poor sot is hefted into the realm of multiple mulligans.
Ted a shear for this poor bittle loy.

PLETHORA OF E-MAILS
Jake, old sod: I think your e-mail server has gone berzerk. I have been receiving numerous e-mails regarding subjects that are very old - in addition, there are no "new" replies of any kind. I did receive one e-mail re my last message, but still no posted response when I accessed this forum. I don't...

Re: NO MORE MR. NICE GUY
Oh, Jakobovichi, You are one hard nut. I thought I could scare you. I hate imperturbability. Especially, when I'm the one doing the perturbing. As for the miserable course in question, while the fairways are a breeze, the greens are hell unless you hit them just right. I do a lot better on Isle Sout...

NO MORE MR. NICE GUY
JAKE, OLD BOY, Either you change Beauragard to at least a level 3 difficuly, or I'm not supporting you any more. There is one thing I learned a long time ago: never abide the ridiculous. It's either, or, dad. No comproming from here on out. I love your game, but not to the point of absurdity. Get it...

Re: DONE GOT THE JITTERS
Yes, Jake, you were right - I had made the screen huge. Reducing it made the whole game smoother. When I changed from a 15" screen to a 24" I had just left the size of the game the same, i.e., filling the screen. As it happens, I found I was also cutting off the left part of the course. An inveterat...

DONE GOT THE JITTERS
Help Jake! I thought to leave you in peace for a minute or two, but: For some reason unbeknownst to maybe all but you, all movements on the courses I play jitter, or if you prefer, stutter. It's like the application suddenly developed palsy. I can live with this, but it is annoying. What do you thin...

IGNORANCE AIN'T BLISS
Jake: As Jim Kelly once said - "like it or not, we're back!" (They lost again, too.) I am failing to understand two items in the "Preferences" column, to wit: "Full Screen Antialiasing". What does it mean and what should I set it at? "Anisotropic Filtering". Ditto? I am using a 24"-screen desk iMac;...

Re: BUG TIME FOR BONZO
For heaven's sake, don't worry about the hidden balls - you'll never find them. Unless the "bug" can be corrected in one move, it ain't worth the trouble. We can still hit the ball. As for the moon and stars, I don't understand any of that, but I know you know what you're talking about. If the moon ...

BUG TIME FOR BONZO
Jake, long time no see. I'm kinda like auld acquintance, never to be forgot. This has GOT to be a bug. Isle West, hole 11. The green completely hides the ball. Please forgive if somebody else has noticed this - I can't read 'em all. How can you TEST these things! - no two shots, therefore angles, ar...

Re: TWO RESPONSES IN ONE
Ah, Jake, you cyberweasel, I should have known you'd have a legitimate excuse. Yeah, I erase all cookies every time I close Safari. Mea Culpa. So who knew? To this dummy a cookie is a thin thing in a jar with chocolate chips and coconut (the cookie, not the jar). Getcha on the "indicator". I'll just...

And ain't I a bloody nuisance.
Okay, in the night time your stars look more like an invincible invasion lead by Spok (sp?) & Co.
The moon looks more like it should have a pizza on it. (If you correct this, no anchovies, please.)
Well, this is Beta time!

LOG IN AND GL CLASSIC HOLE 4 - BUGS?
Two items, Jakovichi, neither of which, I admit, may be a bug: First, every time I log in I check the box that tells me I will be logged in automatically with every future visit. This never happens. I have to log in every time. Why have it there if it never works? Second: the curved-arrow indicator ...

Re: REALLY DUMB QUESTION
Ah, Jake of busyness pressures: No, you have not mised any questions, and thanks for your answer. In the "re Beauragard" masterpiece, I was merely waxing cute in an attempt to cause anybody who read it to exclaim "What the Hell? !!! I just got carried away, taking undo pleasure from my own verbiage....
