Can't get past the 2nd round of the Barnyard Blaster tourney
Jake, All of a sudden, I seem to be having a problem with the Barnyard Blaster Tournament. I have 8 different profiles, and played the full tournament cycle with the first three profiles. My fourth profile, however, successfully played round 1 of the Barnyard tournament (at -12), but I've had to pla...

Thanks for the new course and update...
Jake,
Love the new course and am looking forward to the new tournament. I have 8 profiles, all with varying degrees of skill and all, and have been enjoying the game immensely. Would love to see some internet tournaments like the one for your other golf game.

Re: Maple Bluff is unusually hard
Jake, I second what mw says about the awesome job you've done with the course and the game. And that's really cool about the course being based on one hosting a major this year. I've found under tournament conditions that the stretch of 16, 17 and 18 at Maple Bluff can be a killer if the wind is wro...

Re: Maple Bluff is unusually hard
Jake, Thanks for looking at this. I don't mind hard courses and tournaments. They can be frustrating but a true test of how you manage your skill and the course. And failing to complete a tournament is part of the game. :-) It's just when you're sweating bullets to shoot well in difficult conditions...

Re: Maple Bluff is unusually hard
Jake, Maple Bluff is a fun course to play but some of the greens are punitive. Hitting the ball to the pin can end you up off or nearly off the green on some holes. However, my problem with Maple Bluff tournaments and tournaments late in the sequence of tournaments is the Wind factor. I don't mind p...

Re: No hole on second green
Jake, I can confirm no hole on the 2nd green. I'm in practice mode. I've played through three profiles in professional mode so I'm just practicing now. The hole isn't missing every time but about every 2nd or third time I play the course. I'm usually playing in Professional mode, too.

Some additional tips to help you improve your game...
This post is a followup on the wonderful tips in snvboy's post in this forum. Nova Golf provides you the opportunity to improve your equipment and your skill levels as you gain experience points (and "purses") playing tournaments and practice rounds. Here are some thoughts ... Equipment in the pro s...

Re: What happened to the color green?
Jake,
Thanks. And I just created a new profile and started the tournaments over. I'm a much better player now with all the experience, so this time through I'm doing pretty well, even with all the low settings.
But I gotta find a way to get some work done.

Re: What happened to the color green?
Jake, Wow! Cranking the terrain settings up to the highest setting sure made the difference. Everything looks great and the greens putt true and are once again very, very fast and a wonderful test of nerves and skill. Now when I miss a putt, it really is my own fault. :-) Played through all the roun...

Re: What happened to the color green?
Jake, Here are my Mac specs: 21" iMac 3.06 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo Memory: 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3 Mac OX X, 10.6.8 (Will be upgrading to Lion very shortly) Also, the green with the grass all over it doesn't appear every time I play that course during a tournament. It was fine the first time, and then what y...

Re: What happened to the color green?
Jake,
One more screenshot. This showed up just now when I started the Pro Tour tournament, the last one available. Interesting the green was pretty normal the first time I tried the tournament (and washed out ... but this second time, the green showed all this grass growth. Very odd.

Re: What happened to the color green?
@Ripley, The forum software actually can post the screenshots you've taken. After you log in and click on the "Post Reply" button, and the entry window appears with the font color choices on the right and Smilies on the left, scroll down the screen with the scroll bar on the right, and you'll find a...

Re: What happened to the color green?
Jake, If it helps any in the troubleshooting, all of the graphics weirdness appeared in the update. Version 1.0 didn't have any graphics problems that I saw and the putts were fast and often difficult but the greens behaved as they should were a wonderful test. Dean PS. I gotta say that because of t...

Re: What happened to the color green?
Jake, Here are two more screenshots of Nova Desert Hole 14 during a tournament round. The earlier screenshots were during a practice round. As you can see there is a difference on the same hole between practice and tournament play. As an FYI, using the distance guidelines for the putter, I four-putt...

Re: What happened to the color green?
Jake, Here are a couple of screen shots from Nova Desert. There are more extreme examples later in the course. These are holes 13 and 14. At least one green later on Nova Desert looks like a sand green. Also, here is a fairway shot for No. 14. A lot of fairways look patchy. Also, many of the greens,...

Actually, that was a four-over-par round, not plus-three. Same kind of error though.

Additional thoughts...
Jake, I'm hoping the update will be available soon. :-) I'm getting better and I'm up to the Nova Desert Pro Tour Open. The last try at that tournament, I played the course over four rounds under par, EXCEPT, for the trinity of holes -- 4, 6 & 10. A 14 in the first round on Hole 6, and and an 8 on H...

Re: 111 rounds, 7 tourneys (I actually won one)...more thoug
Jake, It's Hole 4, not Hole 2. I think it was very late at night during golf withdrawal prior to going to sleep that I thought it was Hole 2. :-) The coming tweaks sound great, particularly adding more putter instances. Thanks. That is a very handy club. Also, thanks for the ability to punch a ball ...

111 rounds, 7 tourneys (I actually won one)...more thoughts
Jake, Now firmly entrenched as a Nova Golf addict ... :-) And, as noted, I've actually won a tournament. However, there are some things you might need to look at for the next update... --Flag Colors : I'd like to see the option of having them maybe white or yellow. As a partially color-blind person,...
